How it works

One platform. Both sides of the gate.

Pick who you are, watch it done in the real product, then walk the workflow step by step.

This is what receiving waste looks like in LoadSnap.

Filmed in the product, not drawn in a slide deck. A real load through a real gate.

1:33, narrated and captioned.

The phone app and every chapter on the tour page

The workflow, step by step

The lorry arrives

Three ways to start: key it in, scan the driver's LoadSnap code, or enter a DEFRA tracking ID

Who brought it

Carrier, vehicle and driver from your own library, with the carrier's registration checked against the Environment Agency register as you pick them

What is on it

Photograph the load and the code comes back; sealed loads are keyed in from the consignment note

Weigh it

Gross and tare at the bridge and LoadSnap nets it, with the container type and how many

The office checks it

The operative sends it up and the office confirms the codes, the disposal or recovery code and the compliance fields

File it with DEFRA

One button. A waste tracking ID comes back and sits on the record

This is live today. DEFRA takes waste tracking submissions from receiving sites, mandatory from 1 October 2026 in England and Wales and from January 2027 in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Filing is on every plan including the free one.

Broker or dealer too? That is a second registration you hold, not a second account: tick it in your settings and the broker details appear on your records. What DEFRA asks of a broker. Producing the waste rather than moving it? Your carrier gives you a free producer dashboard.

Built for the mandate

The clock is already running.

Since 1 October 2026, waste receivers in England and Wales must record every movement digitally, with Scotland and Northern Ireland following in January 2027 and carriers planned for October 2027. LoadSnap took part in the DEFRA Digital Waste Tracking (DWT) Beta and was live on day one.

  1. Apr 2026

LoadSnap has been filing movements on your behalf since the beta opened.

  2. 1 Oct 2026

    Mandatory for receivers

Every transfer station, MRF, and treatment site in England and Wales now has to use the digital waste tracking service. Scotland and Northern Ireland follow in January 2027.

File every load you take in to DEFRA as it happens. LoadSnap stores every WTN, photo, and signature.

    Carriers follow (planned)

Phase 2, planned from October 2027: registered carriers submit waste movements digitally - paper WTNs no longer compliant.

Do your drivers capture waste details digitally at the point of collection?

Only on LoadSnap

Two things you only get with LoadSnap.

One joins your loads to the next firm in the chain. The other takes the weight straight off your weighbridge.

LoadSnap Connect

One code follows the load from the producer to the tip.

DEFRA's service does not let one firm look up another firm's records yet, and the part that will is not here. So every record in LoadSnap gets its own code. When the next firm in the chain uses LoadSnap too, they put in the code and the load arrives filled in: who carried it, the waste codes, the weights. It does what DEFRA plans to do, open to anyone in the chain, today.

LoadSnap Weighbridge

Weights straight off the bridge you already have.

A small program on the weighbridge computer reads the display through the lead already plugged into it. Any make, nothing to buy, and it only ever reads, so it can never change what the approved display shows. Weigh in and out and LoadSnap does the rest, ticket included.

Weighbridge software prints a ticket. LoadSnap takes that ticket, classifies the waste against 850+ EWC codes, captures the consignment fields DEFRA wants, and submits the movement automatically. Your weighbridge keeps weighing - we handle everything downstream of it.
