LoadSnap Weighbridge

Weighbridge management software for waste sites.

Every settled weight comes straight off your indicator, gets matched to a carrier and vehicle, and becomes a receipt ready for DEFRA. It works alongside the weighbridge software you already have, so nothing in the hut has to change.

Included with LoadSnap. Windows 10 and 11. Any indicator that sends its reading as text. Download the datasheet (PDF)

Only in LoadSnap

Two things your weighbridge software does not do.

LoadSnap Weighbridge

Weight first, paperwork after.

The connector on the hut computer sends each settled weight to LoadSnap the moment the vehicle stops. Your office matches it to a carrier and vehicle, and the second weight closes it into a draft receipt.

-The live figure from the approved display, never typed
-One bridge both ways, or a bridge in and a bridge out
-Empty weights it already knows, offered as a button
-A weighbridge ticket for the driver, two copies on one sheet
LoadSnap Connect

One reference from collection to the gate.

Every load a carrier books in LoadSnap gets its own Connect code. When it reaches a LoadSnap site, the code fills in the receipt: carrier, waste codes, hazardous properties and where it came from.

-No retyping what the carrier already recorded
-Follows the load from producer to final site
-Anyone holding the code can check the load's public facts
-Works now, while DEFRA's lookups between firms are still to come
How it reads the bridge

Your indicator already says the weight. We listen.

Every indicator sends its reading as a line of plain text, several times a second. The LoadSnap connector picks that line up on the hut computer and sends the kilogrammes on. It never sends anything back, so it cannot zero a bridge or change the approved display.

LoadSnap

Each bridge live in its own tab, ready to match to a carrier and vehicle.

iAlready have weighbridge software? It keeps the lead it uses. Nearly every display has a second output, and the connector reads that one instead, so both run side by side.

Why a second output

Only one program can read a lead at a time. Nearly every indicator has a spare output, and your weighbridge engineer can wire it or switch on its network output.

Any make, no driver

The connector shows what your display is sending and you pick the number that is the weight. That one choice is the whole setup.

No database to link

It reads the display, not your software's records. Nothing to integrate and nothing for your software supplier to change.

One bridge or two

However your yard is laid out.

Each bridge gets its own tab on the Weighbridge page. A vehicle that weighs in on one bridge and out on the other stays in On site until it crosses again, whichever bridge it uses.

What happens to a load.

  1. 1

    The vehicle settles

The weight drops into today's list with its time.

  2. 2

    Carrier, then vehicle

The office drags the vehicle onto its weight. It moves to On site.

  3. 3

    It weighs out

The second weight closes it. LoadSnap works out the net.

  4. 4

    The receipt fills in

From a Connect code, a scanned transfer note, or by hand.

  5. 5

    Filed with DEFRA

Received, and sent to digital waste tracking from LoadSnap.

LoadSnap Connect

Cradle to grave, before DEFRA can do it for you.

DEFRA's digital waste tracking does not yet let one firm look up another firm's movements. That arrives with phase 2, planned from October 2027. Until then, LoadSnap Connect gives every load a dedicated ID that follows it from the producer to its final site.

It mirrors what DEFRA is building, and it is a little more open: anyone holding the code can check the public facts of the load. It never replaces filing with DEFRA, which LoadSnap does for you as a receiving site.

Questions

Weighbridge software, answered.

01What is weighbridge management software?
Software that records each vehicle's weights, works out the net, prints a ticket and keeps the record. LoadSnap goes further for waste sites: the same record carries the waste codes and the transfer note, and becomes the receipt you file with DEFRA.
02Do I have to replace the software on my weighbridge computer?
No. LoadSnap runs alongside it. If you would rather LoadSnap printed the tickets and kept the records, it can, but nothing has to come out.
03Which weighbridges does it work with?
Any indicator that sends its reading as text, which is nearly all of them. If your software already uses the display's lead, the connector uses its second output or the yard network.
04We have two weighbridges. Does that work?
Yes. One bridge for in and one for out, one bridge used both ways, or bridges on different sites. A vehicle can weigh in on one and out on the other.
05What is LoadSnap Connect?
A code for every load booked in LoadSnap, which follows it from collection to the final site. When the carrier and the site both use LoadSnap, the code fills in the receipt. It works now, while DEFRA's lookups between firms are still to come.
06What does it cost?
The connector is included with receiving loads in LoadSnap. There is no charge for the program and nothing to buy for the weighbridge.
